Brahms’s Horn Trio leads the way, its warm horn lines conjuring distant calls across the landscape and its sweeping melodies bringing us back home. Amy Beach’s Romance offers a moment of luminous tenderness, while Koechlin’s Four Short Pieces invites us deeper into an atmospheric, almost dreamlike forest of sound.
Featuring Kate Pritchett, french horn, this is a program about getting a little lost, but discovering something beautiful along the way.
